Maunsell has undertaken a large number of major highway design and construction consultancies in Hong Kong in the last 30 years. Our team of highly experienced and specialist traffic and highway engineers takes care of the following:

	w	Feasibility studies
	w	Assisting clients in public consultation with local groups in planning stage
	w	Detailed design of road geometry, pavement composition, drainage, associated retaining structures, ground treatment and geotechnical works for slopes and embankment, road marking and lighting, traffic and directional signs, traffic signals, traffic surveillance system, noise mitigation measures and landscape works
	w	Contract documentation
	w	Temporary traffic management schemes during construction stage

As part of the above projects, Maunsell has designed numerous highway bridges of various structural forms and construction all over Hong Kong. These include the more conventional precast beam and cast-in-situ span-by-span constructions, as well as the more sophisticated cast-in-situ segmental balanced cantilever and pre-cast segmental constructions.
