Maunsell AECOM is the Engineering Consultant to the Second Navigation Engineering Bureau (SNEB) of China Harbour Engineering Group, who has been awarded the prestigious Contract C3 for the superstructure construction of the Sutong Bridge.Sutong Bridge will cross Yangtze River connecting the cities of Suzhou and Nantong and has a main span of 1,088 m. It will become the world’s longest cable-stayed bridge upon completion in 2007.Maunsell AECOM is proud of its contribution to the award and will provide comprehensive construction engineering services to the entire contract, similar to its role in the 1,018m main span Stonecutter’s cable-stayed bridge project in Hong Kong.
