Maunsell AECOM (MCAL) has been awarded the Design and Construction Consultancy for Reconstruction and Improvement of Tuen Mun Road.

Shenzhen Metro Line No. 1 Extension, China

 

Maunsell AECOM in association with Shanghai Tunnel Engineering & Rail Transit Design and Research Institute and Parson Brinckerhoff Asia, has been appointed by Shenzhen Metro Co. as the consultant to carry out technical review of the designs done by the local design institutes and to provide technical consultancy services for Shenzhen Metro Line No. 1 Extension.

 

This project is the extension of the existing Line No. 1 from the Window of World Station to the Shenzhen International Airport. Line No. 1 Extension is 23.3 km long and comprises 15 stations. Target completion of the project is 2008.Maunsell will be responsible for the design review of the civil, structural and geotechnical aspects of the project from the feasibility study stage to the completion of the project.

 

This project will be managed by Peter Leung, with technical support form various groups within Maunsell AECOM.
