Asbestos Consultancy For Unauthorized Building Works (Hong Kong Island)

ENSR Asia (HK) Ltd. have been awarded a 2-year contract, entitled “Provision of Service for Asbestos Investigation and Removal of Unauthorized Building Works (Hong Kong Island)” by the Environmental Protection Department (EPD) of HKSAR. This is the third contract of such nature consecutively won by MEMCL.

Starting from 2000, the Government has initiated a series of investigation and review studies to identify the Unauthorized Building Works (UBW) and has intended to launch massive UBW clearance operations in the coming 10 years. Before the UBW removal works commence, Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM) should be fully investigated and properly removed. MEMCL will provide professional staff to investigate the ACM on UBW, prepare reports and issue statutory abatement notices on behalf of EPD and in accordance with the Air Pollution Control Ordinance.
