Drainage Improvement in Northern Hong Kong Island, Lower Catchment (Mainworks) –

Maunsell – Metcalf & Eddy Joint Venture has been awarded by Drainage Services Department the above consultancy to carry out further investigation, design and supervision of construction of the drainage improvement works in the lower catchments of Causeway Bay, Wan Chai, Central and Western District of Hong Kong Island.

The scope of the works under this Project includes the construction of 30 sections of stormwater drains and box culverts ranging from 525mm to 2100mm in diameter as well as box culverts ranging from 2100mm x 2100mm to 2700mm x 2400mm for a total length of 3.6 km. The scope also includes the decking and landscaping works for 244 m length of the Queen’s College Nullah from Causeway Road to Tung Lo Wan Road. The Project will commence in May 2006 for a duration of 90 months.
