Pilot Plant Development of Biodegradable Waste Treatment Facilities

Environmental Protection Department has commissioned ENSR Asia (HK) Ltd. to undertake the development of pilot plants for the Biodegradable Waste Treatment Facilities.  This project will involve the design, development, tender, construction and operation of pilot plants for biological treatment of source separated biodegradable waste in Hong Kong.  The Study will also assess the environmental impacts and performance of the facilities as well as the quality, market potential and applicability of the treated end-products.  The Project will provide comprehensive and useful information for the future design and subsequent development of large-scale biodegradable waste treatment facilities in Hong Kong.  The Project will commence in June 2006 and will last for a duration of 27 months.
